Each item posted joins a queue and every time somebody views the homepage, one product is removed and one is added.

This means your items get shown 10 times unless they are at the end of the queue, then they remain on the homepage until new items are posted, so keep posting! Once out the top 10 your items goes into the last 100 posted queue.
